These terms govern the sale and use of HtlApp. By opening an account, starting a trial or paying a subscription, you accept them. Where you buy through the LookVay platform, the terms presented at signup apply together with these; if the two ever conflict, the signup terms prevail.
HtlApp is a product of DigitalVisionAir s.r.l., registered office 00178 Roma, Via del Triopio 9, VAT and tax code IT16400261000, Companies Register RM - 1654268, certified mail digitalvisionair@legalmail.it. HtlApp is part of the LookVay platform; AboardOS is the same platform in its marine edition.
HtlApp is software delivered as a service. You configure guest screens from a browser and the platform serves them to the devices in your property. Nothing is installed at the property: each screen is an address, and the boards, pages and menus live in the cloud.
You licence rooms with a TV, not software seats. The licensing unit is the television: a room with more than one TV uses one licence per TV. Creating and preparing rooms is free and unlimited, and the main display is always included. We do not supply the playback devices, television sets, network or internet connection.
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial: one licensed room with a TV, plus the main display. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials safe, and for everything done under your account, including by your staff.
Published prices may change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we announce it before it takes effect for your account.
There is no minimum term and no lock-in. You may cancel whenever you like, with no penalty and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
If your plan shrinks, rooms that fall outside it keep working through a grace week rather than going dark by surprise. We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, or for use that breaches these terms or the law.
Seasonal properties can pause. After the first six months of subscription, rooms may be suspended for up to six months in any twelve, from your dashboard. Suspended rooms are not billed; their boards, pages and settings are kept and return exactly as they were.
Playback devices are not supplied by us and are not rented: you buy them where you like, they remain your property, and there is nothing to send back if you leave. There is no installation fee and no minimum order.
HtlApp runs on Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV. The devices we test and certify are the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD and 4K, the NVIDIA Shield, and Sony's current professional televisions. Older or budget Android TV hardware is not fast enough to run it well, and we do not warrant the service on devices outside the certified list.
Showing television content to guests or to the public is an act of communication to the public under copyright law, even where the underlying stream is free to access. The venue operator, and not DigitalVisionAir, is responsible for holding every public-performance and collective-rights licence required in the country of deployment.
Venues in Italy additionally owe the television licence fee on the equipment itself, whatever is shown on it. Both points, and the notice-and-takedown procedure, are set out in full in the Live TV Service Notice, which forms part of these terms.
You also undertake to use the service lawfully, to respect the rights of your guests, and not to attempt to circumvent geographic restrictions or any technical protection measure.
Streaming applications are used by guests with their own accounts, under those providers' terms. Live television, news, radio, weather, maps and market data come from third-party sources whose availability, quality and geographic reach are outside our control and may change or end at any time. Where the platform uses a control system such as Crestron, the installation and configuration of that system remain the property's responsibility.
We work to keep the platform available continuously, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee, and maintenance, updates or events outside our control may interrupt it. Features are added and improved continuously; the public release notes record what changes. We may modify or discontinue individual features, and we will not remove something you rely on without notice where we can avoid it. Support is provided by email at the addresses below.
Guest names, orders, chats, favourites and resume points are entered by you or your guests and are erased at checkout according to your own policy. In respect of that data you act as controller and we act as processor. This website's own privacy statement is at privacy.html; the platform's data terms are presented at signup.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including any right of a consumer.
These terms are governed by the law of the Italian Republic. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that confer jurisdiction on a consumer's place of residence.
