About 20 Mbit covers ten rooms. A television actually watching live TV takes roughly 4 Mbit, and the player adapts down to whatever the line gives it. Ten rooms never watch live at the same moment - half the property is on its own streaming apps - so plan for half the rooms, not all of them.
Wi-Fi is enough, and it is how most rooms run: give them honest 5 GHz coverage and live TV behaves. Where a cable already reaches, use it - an NVIDIA Shield, a Google TV set and a Fire TV Stick with its Ethernet adapter all take one. Nothing else in the room needs a network port.
HtlApp runs on Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV, and on tablets or any browser. The devices we test and certify are the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD and 4K, the NVIDIA Shield, and Sony's current professional televisions. Older or budget Android TV hardware is not fast enough to run it well, so start from the certified list.
No server in a closet, no PC behind reception, no satellite dish, no proprietary set-top box and no hotel-mode televisions. The dashboard is a website and each screen is just an address.
Replace it, point the new one at the same address, and the room returns exactly as it was: same pages, same menu, same channels. Because the board lives in the cloud, the device is disposable.

Nothing at all: no app, no account, no card in a folder explaining the television. The remote already in their hand moves through everything, and a QR code turns their phone into the remote - or joins them to your Wi-Fi without typing a password.
Twenty-seven, on the guest screens and in the dashboard alike, and the room opens in the guest's own language from the first screen. Your own wording - menus, pages, house information - is translated by AI on the fly.

Two. The licensing unit is the television: per room really means per TV, so every screen running HtlApp needs its own licence. You can change the count at any time from the billing portal, and licences still swap freely between rooms.
There is no minimum term and no lock-in: cancel whenever you like, with no penalty and no notice period. If your plan ever shrinks, rooms keep working through a grace week rather than going dark by surprise.
Yes. After the first six months of subscription, rooms can be suspended for up to six months a year, and you do it yourself from the dashboard. Suspended rooms are not billed, and their boards return exactly as they were.
We carry free-to-air and publicly accessible streams only: no pay-TV, no DRM, no exclusive-rights sport, no geo-blocked channels. But showing television to guests is itself a communication to the public, so the public-performance and collective-rights licences for your country remain yours as the operator. The Live TV Service Notice sets this out in full.
No. The Italian licence fee is owed on possession of equipment capable of receiving broadcasts, not on what you show on it - it applies even to sets used only for demonstration video or camera images. Installing HtlApp changes the software, not the equipment. A screen with no tuner at all - a commercial monitor or signage panel fed only over HDMI - is not equipment capable of receiving broadcasts, so the fee does not attach to it; confirm your own case with your adviser. Where the property has a control system - Crestron today, KNX and Tuya next - the same screen that entertains the guest also runs the room, with live state that never lies. Scenes can be recorded by the guest as a personal copy, and each screen is activated by a one-time code shown on its own glass, so only the room's screen controls the room.
